History
Adrian is from the Hooper Family (capital F) which is part of the Pantheon Bloodlines -  a secret cabal of superhuman families with history back to at least the eighth century BC. The exact number of families and their last names has varied over the centuries. The Hoopers rose to prominence during the Witchhunts of the 16th century and were the first to spread to the Americas. The Hooper influence ebbed during WW1 and WW2 and the Family risked dropping back to being a minor bloodline until Adrian revealed the full depth of his powers. Unfortunately Adrian proved too rebellious to obey the rigid Family hierarchy and fled to other agencies such as Claremont, the Ark of Worlds and later AEGIS.

Adrian was born in Emerald City on the north western coast of the USA. He studied at Claremont for 5 years and was part of Next Gen for 4 years. During his time with Next Gen he formed a strong romantic relationship with Cara Avonmora. This lasted through to graduation and fell apart during their "gap year" in Hawaii when Cara became the villian "Crimson Tide".  While at Claremont Adrian happened upon a "dimensional cube" lost by the Ark of Worlds.

Adrian finished his teaching degree and was recruited by the Ark of Worlds (due to his exposure with the dimensional cube). While at the Ark he encountered many iterations and dopplegangers of himself and Cara. While working with the Ark he regularly used his middle name to differentiate himself from the various dopplegangers of himself he met. He utlimately became involved with a Tara Breen (the Cara Avonmora doppleganger from Earth 308).

Adrian and Tara quit the Ark to live on Earth Prime. They taught at Claremont before joining AEGIS. The couple have one daughter: Jennifer.

Associates
Adrian is a member of the Pantheon. As a former student, member and then teacher, he remains closely associated with the Claremont Academy and Next Gen. Adrian was recruited to the Ark of Worlds and when introduced to his partner by Vicki of the Ark. He now maintains a wary distance from Vicki and her manipulative ways. Adrian remains extremely close to Jane Doe of the Ark of Worlds and treats her as family, especially now that Jane has settled into Earth Prime (at least for now).

Notebook of Duncan Summers: Intake Day

Notebook of Duncan Summers: Intake Day Originally Published by Jason Cochrane on Mar 25, 2016 at 05:03 AM There was a timid knock at the door. Duncan Summers, Headmaster of the Claremont Academy spun from his perch by the window and fixed the intruder with a steely glare. The source of the knock, a young man dressed in the Academy Uniform of blue and gold fled in terror. "Mmmmmm...." growled the Headmaster who returned to his position of gazing out the window into the distance. "Headmaster," a vaguely feminine, vaguely robotic voice intoned, "must you terrorise the students?" There was a faint staccato as metal heels walked across the floor towards the Headmaster. The presence was acknowledged with another growl. "Navimatrix. What do you want?" "My," intoned the humanoid robot. "Aren't you in a foul mood today. I came to check on you." "No need. I'm fine." Duncan had not even turned away from th...

Prelude to Torpedoes Away

The Wiked Witch Cafe based out of the Ordway Observatory next to verdant Weirdly Park was always a mecca for the unexpected but now it was barely contained chaos. The sun was starting to set on a picturesque Thursday afternoon. The Cafe, normally winding down on Thursdays at this time, was completely packed. Every table and chair was out - even those with slight damage that were mouldering the store room. The inside of the Cafe was filled with a crowd that spilled not only onto the alfresco dining area but the carpark and Weirdly Park itself. There was no denying that the Cafe was profiting enormously by it's current state but somehow at the back of mind, Tommy Tonka , owner of the establishment, couldn't shake the thought that perhaps it wasn't wise to let Headmaster Hooper and the arts students of Claremont Academy convince him to open a special "open mic" afternoon and evening. It certainly wasn't that Tommy would make a loss out of the event. It wa...

The Claremont Academy: Recent Developments

The Claremont Academy The first school to publicly announce it was a super school. Claremont was acquired, renovated, opened and run by billionaire philanthropist Duncan Summers. Claremont is built on the famous but abandoned Claremont Monastery which had a dark history, particularly the legend of the Burning Ghost. The school is located on sprawling grounds and houses the no longer secret subterranean base of the various “Next” Teams that operate out of the school. The Claremont Academy is home for a range of superteams. The most prominent is “Next Gen”, closely followed by the “Alterniteens”. Additionally Claremont students have formed a range of “Next” teams including Nexion, Nexus, Next Step and more. These other teams have highly variable membership and longevity. Professor Summers has always tolerated this as he highly values supers making their own choices and being responsible for their own actions. This cavalier attitude has met with resistance from AEGIS who believes a re...
